Ice Cream Social

Come celebrate the start of the school year with us at our Back-to-School Social! This fun event gives families a chance to connect while enjoying ice cream and slush. Our teacher volunteers serve toppings for the kids' ice cream. It’s a school favorite! Kids will have a blast playing, eating ice cream, and socializing, while parents can catch up and meet new families. We can't wait to see you there!
We’re looking for volunteers to help with setting up tables, handing out tickets, selling chips and popcorn, serving ice cream and cleaning up afterward.
Fifth Grade Halloween Float Building

Each year, fifth grade students and parents work together to create a float for the Woburn Lions Club Halloween Parade, themed around that year’s concept. The parade takes place on the last Sunday of October, and there's a cash prize for the best school float. Donations of items for the float, as well as candy for distribution during the parade, may be requested. Volunteers can contribute by brainstorming ideas for the float, helping build it, gathering decorations and supplies, or walking in the parade!
Election Day Bake Sale

On the first Tuesday of November, the Reeves PTO hosts an Election Day Bake Sale. Since the school is closed for voting, we are asking for donations of homemade or store-bought treats from Reeves families. Suggested items include cupcakes, cookies, brownies, individual bags of chips, donuts, muffins, and more. We don't set prices for the items, but instead ask voters to donate whatever amount they feel comfortable with.
Volunteers can sign up for one-hour shifts to help restock the table and collect donations. Kids are welcome to join (they're great at bringing in donations!), but must be accompanied by an adult. Fifth graders can earn Y.E.S. hours for volunteering.
Turkey Trot

This is our annual fun walk and our biggest fundraiser of the year, raising most of the funds we need. Students from preschool to 5th grade participate by walking around the Reeves front lawn square, earning bracelets for each lap they complete. Parents are invited to volunteer for a 30-minute time slot (per grade) to cheer on their kids and hand out prizes as they make their laps. We’ll have music, balloons, and plenty of supplies to keep the energy up!
Ornament Decorating

The city of Woburn hosts the Festival on the Common the Saturday after Thanksgiving and invites all elementary schools to decorate a tree and be part of the celebration. The PTO provides theme-based supplies for students to create ornaments for the tree.
Volunteers are needed the week before the festival to help students make their ornaments. Additional volunteers are needed the morning of the event to help decorate the tree at the Woburn town center. The city requires that the students do the decorating, so we need lots of help!
Scholastic Book Fair

Each year, the PTO partners with Scholastic to bring a week-long Book Fair to our school in March. This event allows kids to explore a wide selection of books, notebooks, school supplies, posters, and more. Every class has the opportunity to visit the fair twice: once to create a wishlist that is sent home for parent approval, and a second time to purchase the items from their approved list. Parents can send in cash or use eWallets to fund their child's purchases. The Book Fair helps our school earn "Scholastic Bucks," which the PTO uses to purchase new books for our library, classrooms, and to students in need.
We offer several volunteer opportunities, including helping with setup, assisting students in browsing and creating their wishlists, providing support on checkout day, and breaking down the setup afterward. Volunteers are essential to making this event a success, and we truly appreciate any time you can contribute to one or more of these roles.
Teacher Appreciation Week

Teacher Appreciation Week takes place in early May, providing us with the opportunity to recognize the hard work and dedication of our teachers and staff at Reeves. Their commitment to our students is deeply appreciated. To express our gratitude, we have planned a variety of activities throughout the week. In past years, these have included breakfast, lunch, supplies, gift cards, photo booths, and other surprises. More information about the upcoming celebration will be shared by our Teacher Appreciation Week Team. If you have any questions or would like to contribute, please feel free to contact us. We are grateful for your support in making this week special!
